The Alfa Romeo 2600 (Tipo 106) was Alfa Romeo´s six-cylinder flagship produced from 1961 to 1968. It has become historically significant as the last Alfa Romeo to have been fitted with an inline six-cylinder engine with twin overhead camshafts (145 BHP). A two-plus-two seater convertible with body by Carrozzeria Touring, only 2255 examples were produced. This example was first registered in 1963 and therefore one of the early examples produced. Delivered new in Sweden where it spend its whole life (current title still Swedish). The last owner had the car in his possession since 1984 (long term ownership). Throughout its life the car has been taken care of very well. Some years ago the car was completely restored and overhauled which results in a beautiful looking and perfectly driving and operating example today. Free from rust, perfect panel fittings and an interior with new seats and carpets. The dashboard still looks beautiful. The engine runs very smooth and the gearbox (5-speed manual) operates flawlessly. All together a very elegant car, still in a beautiful condition.
